The World’s Smallest Quad-band Module In LCC Package Has A Size Of Only 19.9 mm x 23.6 mm x 2.65 mm
Quectel’s new M95 GSM/GPRS module helps save space in M2M applications
Stutensee (Germany), May 24, 2012 — MSC now offers the M95 quad-band GSM/GPRS module from Quectel. The M95 is provided in an easier soldering process SMD LCC package that has dimensions of only 19.9 mm x 23.6 mm x 2.65 mm.
The M95 is currently the world’s smallest quad-band GSM/GPRS module. Despite its compact form factor, the M95 features outstanding performance data such as: GPRS multislot class 12 for uplink transfer up to 85.6 kbps and an extremely low current consumption of only 0.9 mA in sleep mode when DRX is 5 as well as numerous additional functions such as embedded class AB amplifier.
Two UART interfaces and a large number of protocols, such as TCP/IP, UDP, FTP and PPP, are already integrated on the module. This ensures that the M95 meets the requirements of various M2M applications including Vehicle Tracking System, Industrial PDA, Personal Tracking, Wireless POS, Smart Metering, etc.
In addition to the module, MSC also offers a complete M95 development kit for evaluation purposes. The kit includes hardware and software, debug and test tools, approvals, application examples and test reports.
